Who we are

This website is operated by SmirkyDEV(“we”, “us”). It introduces Smirky and lets you join the waitlist or contact the team. This policy explains what we collect on this site and how we handle it.

What we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us:

  • Waitlist — your email address. After signup, you may optionally share your platform (macOS, Windows, or Linux) and an X handle so we can reach you with an invite.
  • Contact form — your email address, message, topic, and name if you provide one.
  • Technical data — basic server logs from our hosting provider (for example IP address, browser type, and request time) used to keep the site secure and reliable.

We do not run advertising trackers or sell personal information on this website.

How we use it

  • Manage waitlist signups and send product updates you asked for.
  • Read and respond to messages you send through the contact form.
  • Operate, protect, and improve this website.
  • Comply with law when required.

Where data is stored

Waitlist and contact submissions are stored in Supabase, our database provider. Our team may also receive notifications through an internal Discord webhook so we can respond quickly. The site itself is hosted on Netlify.

How long we keep it

We keep waitlist and contact information for as long as needed to run the beta, communicate with you, and maintain a record of conversations. If you want your data removed, contact us and we will delete it unless we must keep it for legal reasons.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email us using the contact page.

Children

This website is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product and website evolve. When we do, we will revise the date below. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
